This policy describes the current data practices of the International Sacred Calendar website. It applies to this site, not to external websites linked from it.

This public website is not a confidential channel. Do not enter or expose confidential, sensitive, or personally identifying information. Microsoft Clarity may process interactions such as clicks, scrolling, and session replay data, while other providers receive information needed to deliver and measure the site.

At a glance
Calendar conversions and planetary-hour calculations run in your browser and are not submitted to an ISC database.
Microsoft Clarity and GoatCounter load when a page opens and process different kinds of usage data.

Information kept on your device
The site uses browser local storage to remember your interface language, last selected calendar date, sunrise time, and sunset time. The service worker and browser cache may also keep the site's static files so the calendar can work offline. The ISC application does not use this storage to create a user profile.
A date-sharing link contains the selected fixed-day number in its URL. Anyone who receives that link can see and open the selected calendar date. The site accesses your clipboard only when you press a copy-link button.

Analytics providers
Microsoft Clarity
Clarity helps identify usability problems through behavioral measurements, heatmaps, and session replays. Clarity may process page and interaction information, device and browser details, network information, and pseudonymous identifiers. Clarity can use first- and third-party cookies when permitted. Microsoft states that input and select values are masked, but you should still treat the site as non-confidential.
GoatCounter
GoatCounter provides traffic counts and aggregate statistics. Depending on its configuration, these can include page path, referrer, browser, operating system, language, screen width, and an approximate country derived from the network address. GoatCounter states that it does not store IP addresses, full user-agent headers, or tracking identifiers, and does not place cookies or local-storage values in a visitor's browser.

Hosting and external services
The site is published through GitHub Pages and OpenAI Sites, which uses Cloudflare infrastructure. These hosting and network providers may receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser or user-agent data, requested URL, and request time to deliver and protect the service. Their own terms and retention practices apply to information they process.

How information is used and shared
Usage information is used to operate the site, understand traffic, diagnose errors, improve accessibility and usability, and protect the service. ISC does not sell personal data or use site data to create advertising profiles. Information is shared with the analytics, hosting, and network providers described above only as needed for those services, or when required by law.
Device-local preferences remain until you change them or clear this site's browser data. Provider-held information follows each provider's published retention rules and your browser or consent settings.

- Use browser privacy controls or a content blocker to restrict non-essential analytics. Some usage measurements may then be incomplete.
